Scholarship Policies
The scholarship policy is set up by the Office of University Admissions and Office of Financial Aid which serves as a guide to understanding how your scholarship finances your education. Please read the policy thoroughly to understand how you may be affected by the terms of your scholarship.
ACCEPTING THE SCHOLARSHIP
- Returned the Scholarship Acceptance Reply Form by the date specified on the offer letter.
- Deferring Admission doesn鈥檛 guarantee scholarship availability. Students must consult with Admissions and Financial Aid for approval.
- If a student chooses to attend another college or university or withdraws from 野花社区, the scholarship is forfeited.
- Scholarships are awarded for 4 years (8 semesters). Transfer scholarships are awarded for 2 years (4 semesters).
Awards are applicable to the receipt of 1st Degree only.
FINANCIAL AID GUIDELINES
- Students are required to do the following:
- Submit the FAFSA application every academic year. The FAFSA application or Renewal FAFSA is available every October 1st.
- Renewal FAFSA or NJ Alternative State Application鈥檚 must be renewed by April 15th.
- Complete Federal Verification Requirements (if selected)
- Complete State Verification Requirements (if selected)
- Enroll for a minimum of 12 credits per term (15 recommended)
- Eligibility for Federal/State Grants will first be applied towards the cost of tuition and fees. Any remaining costs will be covered by the merit scholarship.
- Scholarships will cover the following: 野花社区 Tuition, student activity fee, orientation fee, transcript fee, and lab fees.
- Scholarships do not cover the following fees/charges: Housing/Meal Plan, Health Insurance, Parking, Electronic textbook fees, or other institutional charges.
- Scholarships can be used for Study Abroad for programs that charge 野花社区 tuition only.
- Scholarships may be applied to Fall and/or Spring terms only.
- For students receiving a tuition waiver, the value of the scholarship award will be reduced based upon the reduction of the tuition charges.
RENEWING THE SCHOLARSHIP
- Scholarship renewal will be reviewed on an annual basis at the end of each spring semester.
- Students must submit renewal FAFSA and renewal TAG application by April 15th.
- A student must be enrolled full time (12 credits or more) each semester as a degree seeking student.
- Students must earn, at a minimum, 24 new credit hours each academic year (including summer semester).
- Student must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Merit scholarships are renewable based on the terms of the scholarship or to the point where the student has completed degree requirements for their first bachelor's degree; whichever comes first.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required to maintain 100% value of merit award. If a student falls below the required GPA agreement, the scholarship will be adjusted to a percentage (Please see GPA Requirement Guidelines below). This is considered a probationary period and student risks losing their scholarship if their GPA is not brought back to a minimum of 3.0.
- If a student withdraws from 野花社区 the scholarship is forfeited.
