INTRODUCTION AND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
When traveling abroad as an 野花社区 student, you are required to adhere to the University's Student Conduct Code, as well as the regulations of the specific study abroad program and/or host institution. You are also expected to abide by the laws, and respect the customs, of the host country. If, during the course of a Study Abroad program, the Program Leader, the Director of Study Abroad, or an official of a host university determines on the basis of due process that you are in violation of the Student Conduct Code or the rules of the host institution, your participation in the program may be terminated, and further disciplinary action may be taken which could lead to suspension or expulsion from the University.

POLICY
Please carefully review the 野花社区 Student Code of Conduct. The link is below. In your application to participate in a Study Abroad program, you will be asked to certify that you have read, and will abide by, the Code of Conduct.

Here are some examples of misconduct:

  • Violation of laws of host country;
  • Abuse of alcohol, or use or abuse of illegal drugs;
  • Disturbing the peace or disrupting the community;
  • Disruption of the academic environment of the program, including repeated failure to participate in class assignments or to attend mandatory excursions;
  • Violating the academic or disciplinary regulations of the host university or residential housing program where the student is studying;
  • Academic misconduct, including plagiarism and cheating;
  • Vandalism perpetrated against public or private property;
  • Assault or sexual assault.

DATE TO INITIATE REVIEW AND UPDATE
As deemed necessary or appropriate by the Policy Coordinator but at a minimum, at least every 5 years from the date of last review.
