野花社区 Professional Education and Lifelong Learning Announces New Campus Security Professional Program

The Division of Professional Education and Lifelong Learning (PELL) at 野花社区 (野花社区) announces the launch of a new non-credit Campus Security Professional (CSP) program during the Spring 2020 semester.

In response to the growing need for organizations to have trained security professionals, 野花社区鈥檚 Departments of Public Safety and Environmental Health and Safety created this 5-day program with PELL to offer general security and safety industry topics and in-demand industry certifications such as:

New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA), OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Safety and Health and CPR/AED.

鈥淭oday鈥檚 security professionals require ongoing training to ensure they remain current on critical issues,鈥 according to Ron Hurley, Associate Vice President of Public Safety.

Taught by (CPP & CSP) Board Certified instructors, this training is considered invaluable to security professionals employed or seeking employment by universities, hospitals and K-12 schools. Upon successful completion of this program individuals required information will be submitted for certification to the New Jersey State Police, OSHA Outreach Center and the American Red Cross.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

This Program is scheduled to run Saturdays, March 7 through April 4, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will culminate with a job placement Career Fair/Direct Hire Event on Friday, April 17, 2020.

PRE-REQUISITIES:

鈥         Persons 18 years and older with High School Diploma or GED

鈥         Driver鈥檚 license preferred

鈥         Participants must complete and pass Sagem Morpho background check for SORA licensing

HOW TO APPLY:

All applicants are welcome to .  Registration discounts are available for Security Agencies, Hospitals, Universities and other institutions registering 3 or more participants.

WIOA and WIA eligible participants are also welcome to apply.  Please log on to and visit your local one-stop centers for details on how to qualify for funding.
